Went and saw the Lexington Ballets Cinderella and it was awesome. We have season tickets and have been going to the opera house for about the past decade. I like the Troubadour concert series that has residence here. Far from opulent though compared to other historical stages in Kentucky. Pleasant and probably not many bad seats in the house. Everyone in our general vicinity also agreed and many people left the performance early because of it. the view is great, but the leg room is a huge negative. the experience is like having your 1st grade teacher hold your hand during an assembly. Also, dont get too excited or you will get called down. dont count on eating or drinking at your seat. Swanky place, good acoustics, draconcian staff. Good overall experience each time Ive attended. The seating is comfortable wirh enoigh space between persons.

The staff is very professional and friendly. This venue is smaller than others which makes the performance feel a bit more personal.

If they are going to bleed your wallet dry they could at least give you a full sized bottle of water. This should be illegal, but also there production of Legally Blonde was great.
Money Grubbing Opera House charging 3 bucks for a fun sized bottle of water. The historical building is worth the trip. The people at the Opera House are easy to work with and the programs are amazing. This is a great place for a school field trip and introduces the students to culture! We saw Joseph and the Amazing Techno Color Dream Coat by SCAPA, it was wonderful!! The students loved the production. They conduct different plays on a smaller scale for middle and high school students. They have some great field trips for students.
